Dance themed art expo

In collaboration with the contemporary dance school in Castello D’ Empurias a collective of established and upcoming artists will be hosting a unique mixed arts exhibition. First the artists will watch the dancers and take photographs, make sketches and generally absorb atmosphere. They then have a few months to create a piece based on their impressions.

Second phase is to show the art work to the dancers who then choreograph dance works based on the art. In this way I hope to create a circle of inspiration and exhibit both types of works together to form a new multi media show/exhibit which brings distinct creative people together.

As curator I will be looking for funding, and help with printing and advertising costs, from local business and local council. We would also like to put the exhibition on tour to another gallery or space, (possibly in Barcelona.) I hope that this will encourage co-operation between the arts and certainly from a personal point of view I am looking forward to coming out of the isolation of my studio and working with other artists and dancers.
